Sesame Tofu Recipe That's Simple To Make
This
sesame tofu recipe is definitely one you should try if you
think
you don't like tofu. I'm pleased to say we've converted many a sceptic
with this dish.
Ingredients:
4 tbsps soy sauce
2 tbsps sesame seeds
2 tbsps honey
1 tbsp sesame oil
250g/half pound of firm tofu, cut into cubes
sunflower oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
5 spring onions, sliced
1 red chilli, sliced
1 pineapple, cut into chunks
150g/5oz mange tout or sugar snap peas
Noodles to serve
Method:
1. Place the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl and mix
well. Add the tofu and stir carefully to coat.
2. Heat 1-2 tbsps of sunflower oil in a wok or large frying
pan. Reserving the marinade, take the tofu from the bowl
using a slotted spoon and fry for a few minutes until golden.
Remove from the wok and set aside.
3. Heat another tablespoon of oil, then and add the garlic, spring
onions, chilli, pineapple and spring onions. Stir fry for a couple of
minutes till lightly cooked. Add the marinade and the tofu
and cook for another minute or two. Serve the sesame tofu
with noodles.
