Here's an easy almond milk recipe for a creamy and healthy alternative to your usual dairy products.
Almond milk is vegan, cholesterol-free, lactose-free and very easy to make. It's great as part of a vegan breakfast, providing a satisfying and nutritious start to the day.
It is also an excellent substitute for milk when cooking and making your own is a very good option. It's healthy, fresh, free from additives and tastes so much better than any almond milk you can buy. You only need two ingredients - almonds and water.
For the best flavour, use whole unblanched almonds. That means plain brown almonds like the ones pictured below which haven't been roasted or salted.
Skin them and grind them fresh. It's easy and the difference is remarkable.

¾ cup/150g/6oz of whole unblanched almonds in their
skins
2 cups/450mls/¾ pints of cold water
