Veggie Food From A "Notorious Carnivore", Healthy Cookies, Cheese Info & Lots of New & Easy Recipes
September 08, 2011
I have to apologize for the gap since the last issue. School holidays have made life a bit more hectic than usual and too much time was spent at the beach and not sending emails;-) But September is here and something approaching normality is returning. Phew! So here's a roundup of the latest news and recipes on Everyday-Vegetarian-Recipes.Com
I get a lot of questions about vegetarian cheese, what it is and which cheeses are veggie etc. It can be confusing. In particular I have had many queries about Parmesan and its suitability for vegetarians. Here's an article that I hope answers at least most of these questions.
All About Vegetarian Cheese
Veggie Food From A "Notorious Carnivore"?
Surprising as it may seem - since he aptly describes himself as "that notorious carnivore" - I've always admired Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on one level for his honesty and sense of responsibility for the food he eats and the environment in which it is produced. And now, in his latest book, Hugh is actually encouraging people to eat less meat. He's also undergone an incredible physical transformation since changing his diet. Just look at the cover picture... The recipes look fantastic and I'm very much looking forward to trying a few.
Yum Yum Vegan Gummy BearI felt I had to mention Vegebears which have been the most popular sweet treat in our house for a while now. Phew! They are finally back in stock at vegan essentials
